Tushar Plus’s headquarters and production facilities are located in Surat, Gujarat, India. Known as the “Diamond City of India” and the “Textile Hub of the Nation,” Surat is a global leader in diamond cutting and polishing, processing over 90% of the world’s diamonds. It is also a textile powerhouse, renowned for producing high-quality sarees, dress materials, and synthetic fabrics, making it a key player in India’s fashion and trade industries.

No other production step has as much impact on both the environmental performance of a thread manufacturer and the quality of its products as the dye house. Tushar Plus’s dye house in SURAT stands out for its strict process controls, rigorous quality checks, and significant investments in the latest dyeing technology, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and superior product quality.

Our boiler operates on natural gas instead of fuel oil, significantly reducing environmental impact. During the combustion of fossil fuels, pollutants such as carbon dioxide (CO₂) and sulfur dioxide (SO₂) are released into the air. Natural gas is the cleaner alternative, with CO₂ emissions of just 0.20 kg per kWh of energy used, compared to 0.28 kg per kWh when burning fuel oil. Additionally, fuel oil combustion produces sulfur dioxide, whereas natural gas combustion does not, making it a more environmentally friendly choice.

Thanks to consistent improvements in the production process, Tushar Plus was able to reduce energy consumption per kilogram of finished product by 40% between 2003 and 2007. For example, instead of releasing water vapor into the air, we utilize its heat to dry the threads after the dyeing process. Additionally, our use of the latest energy- and water-saving dyeing machines has made our dye house one of the most modern and technologically advanced in India.
